Individual Submissions
Individuals are welcome to submit an idea at any time to be considered by the Vitro Innovation Team. However, we encourage you to submit to one of three specific Innovation Challenges, which encourage ideas that address focus areas important to Vitro’s core values. Our annual Innovation Challenges address the topics outlined below, which may help inspire your next idea. Submitting an idea to an Innovation Challenge increases your chances of qualifying for awards or incentives.

- Ideas for new glass applications
- Seeking out new markets for glass

- Creating new training opportunities
- Improving personnel retention
- Optimizing production processes
At the end of each year, a winner and several finalists are selected to receive the Innovation of the Year Award, which honors the best overall idea regardless of its area of focus.

The Process
- Individual ideas will be reviewed by the Vitro Innovation Team on a monthly basis.
- Once reviewed, the Innovation Team may advance your idea for further consideration. You may be contacted to collect additional information.
- Qualified ideas may proceed through five possible phases before full implementation:
Phase 1: Scoping
Phase 2: Build Business Case
Phase 3: Development
Phase 4: Testing & Validation
Phase 5: Launch
